|The Viva Blue Hotel is situated in Playa de Muro on a site destined to become the heart of the European triathlon scene. It boasts superb facilities perfectly tailored to meet the needs of sports lovers and particularly suited for both amateur and profesional cyclists and triathletes. We are situated a mere 100 metres from a fine white sandy beach next to the Albufera Nature Park.
Playa de Muro stands on Alcúdia Bay, selected by the Ironman organisation as the venue for its 70.3 and Iron-Distance races on Majorca. Worthy of note is the fact that the 70.3 race attracts the highest number of participants in Europe and the second highest number in the world.
Between February and June this same setting welcomes more cycle tourists than any other destination in the world. Thousands of Britons, Germans and Spaniards flock to this corner of the Mediterranean to make the most of its privileged climate. Indeed, in December and January we play host to a large number of professional teams who carry out their preseason training in this area. They are particularly drawn by the accessibility and diversity of routes that take in both flat and mountainous terrain.
In addition, numerous sporting events are also held in this area, providing a magnificent complement to those described above: duathlons, athletics races, open water swim as well as short and medium distance triathlons. Other sporting highlights include the Mallorca Classic and Mallorca 312 cycling tourism events. In 2017 we will enjoy the first edition of an ultra distance traithlon in Baleares, the Ultra Mallorca Man.
|The elegant and light Mediterranean surroundings provide the perfect backdrop to this fine example of island hospitality.
It contains 256 rooms spread over 4 separate buildings, surrounded by a splendid garden and with spectacular views of the Albufera Natural Park where you can enjoy the best sunset in the northern part of the island. The others have views of the pool and have a sunny aspect first thing in the morning. The rooms are divided into 16 Royal, 48 Privilege and 192 Premium.
